Waqas Anwer Qureshi is an experienced investment banker and financial advisor with over two decades of leadership roles across global and regional institutions, including HSBC, Deutsche Bank, SCB, ABN AMRO, JS Global Capital, and Burj Capital. He has advised on some of the largest and most complex transactions in Pakistan’s corporate landscape, spanning financial restructuring, debt syndications, project finance, and equity placements.

During his tenure as Managing Director – Investment Banking at Burj Capital and earlier at JS Global Capital, Mr. Qureshi executed landmark mandates such as the USD 500 million restructuring of Dewan Group, the PKR 8 billion guarantee-backed debt raise for Mobilink, and advisory on a PKR 34 billion hotel portfolio for Hashoo Group. His expertise lies in structuring innovative solutions for clients across sectors and geographies.

Building on this foundation, Mr. Qureshi later diversified into renewable energy and infrastructure, where he successfully developed a 50 MW wind project in Pakistan and now leads Nordic DataVault ApS, pioneering carbon-neutral data centres in the Nordics. He also serves on the boards of HESCO, BRR Guardian Modaraba, and Trans Atlantic Energy, combining his financial acumen with strategic oversight in energy and infrastructure.
